Our Certifications

We test our Irish Sea Moss annually following each harvest season and throughout the year to ensure they're free of food pathogens and dangerous levels of naturally occurring or human origin contaminants such as heavy metals, pesticides, petroleum residues, and radiation.

Testing is done through accredited third-party labs. It’s important to understand the nature and substance of seaweed to accurately analyze it. Our contract labs use analytical methods refined over many decades by scientists from around the world, and they're validated by the EPA, FDA and global certification organizations before being approved for food testing.

-FDA Registered Facility

An FDA-Registered Facility must provide evidence to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration that they have identified any potential hazards with the products being produced in that facility, are implementing preventative controls to address those hazards, and are monitoring the performance of the controls to ensure that they are effective.

-BRC Food Certified

BRC Certification is an international Food Safety Management Systems standard, and is one of the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) recognized certification schemes. It contains requirements for food processors to follow to build an effective food safety management system.

-Vegan.org (Certified Vegan)

Products certified by Vegan.org do not contain animal products or byproducts and have not been tested on animals.

A GMO-free certificate is delivered after control and confirms the absence of Genetically Modified Organisms in the manufacture of products.

PETA (Cruelty-Free and Vegan)

PETA’s Cruelty-Free certification verifies that the company does not conduct or commission any animal tests on ingredients, formulations, or finished products and that they pledge not to do so in the future.
